INTRODUCTION
Located in the heart of the bay of Mont Saint-Michel, just a few kilometres from France’s largest shellfish port and at the gates of Brittany, it was logical for CHEREAU to develop vehicles to transport fish and shellfish right from the start.
Transporting fish calls for equipment that is specially protected against corrosion and is suitable for loading and unloading products packaged in a specific manner.
The next few pages contain some of the key systems enabling CHEREAU to provide solutions perfectly adapted to this type of transport.
CHASSIS CORROSION PROTECTION
Protection and paint quality specially studied to satisfy CHEREAU requirements (paint used on oil rigs). 10-year anti-corrosion guarantee (perforation).
STAINLESS STEEL EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT
Extensive use of stainless steel for the external body (compartments, lights protection, etc.).
STAINLESS STEEL INTERNAL EQUIPMENT
Everything is designed for maximum efficiency when loading and unloading and during cleaning thanks to the various options available: sides, lashing points, stainless steel front grille.
EASY-C EVO PARTITION
The Easy-C Evo partition enables multi-temperature operation. Easy to handle with a secure locking system, it facilitates optimum air circulation thanks to its new end-stop spacers.
EASYFLEX PARTITION
Our EasyFlex partition is ergonomic. It is lighter and also stronger; in the event of an impact, it tilts forward and then returns to its original position.
It has a hydrophobic insulating foam and an impact-resistant thermoplastic skin. Finally, its footprint has been reduced by 70mm, making it compatible with the transport of 33 pallets in multi-temperature.
WASTE-WATER TANK
160 L stainless steel waste-water tank to collect the run-off water.
FISH TANK
Possibility to adapt options for the transport of live shellfish.
CAMERA SOLUTIONS
CHEREAU provides a range of cameras offering visibility up to 360° around the vehicle to facilitate manoeuvres and secure the vehicle and its surroundings.
CITYLIGHT
This warning light system provides dynamic flash signalling to alert road users that a delivery is underway and a powerful work light to illuminate the rear of the vehicle.
AEROTOP-C
Component of the CHEREAU aerodynamic system, the AeroTop-C is an aluminium roof deflector making it possible to save 0.3 L/100 km on long-distance trips.
AEROFLAP-C
Component of the CHEREAU aerodynamic system reducing consumption by 0.7 L/100 km or 1.1 L/100 km when combined with the AeroTop-C.
These aluminium components deploy and fold automatically when the rear doors are operated.
CONNECTBOX
The ConnectBox is a new interface box between the tractor and the trailer. This standard equipment allows for expanded functionality and safety options. These include flashing clearance lights, reversing light delay and flash warning before the lights go out.
MULTI-ENERGY COOLING SOLUTIONS
CHEREAU has mastered all the existing technologies, from standard diesel refrigeration units to gas, hybrid or 100% electric units.
