CHEREAU
In the 1950s, Jean CHEREAU developed the first refrigerated bodies designed specifically for transporting perishable goods. The brand quickly became established by producing insulated, and subsequently, refrigerated vehicles, which were always one step ahead of official regulations and the requirements of road haulage companies.
Meat, dairy products, fruit and vegetables, flowers and pharmaceutical products must leave their production sites and reach national and international markets while complying with increasingly stringent sanitary conditions.
CHEREAU : a Normandy-based company
Established in Avranches, Normandy, the factory and the company's head office are now entirely Normandy-based. Located in the heart of Mont-Saint-Michel Bay area, CHEREAU's four sites stretch between Avranches and Ducey with more than 60,000 m² of industrial buildings.
Since the beginning of 2016, the company has joined the Spanish manufacturer SOR, within The Reefer Group, to form the European leader in polyester technology refrigerated bodywork.
CHEREAU's products
CHEREAU's core production involves the manufacture of refrigerated semi-trailers and trucks. The company also manufactures other products designed for refrigerated transport, including tractor-trailers and removable bodies.
Each product with strong qualitative added value thanks to CHEREAU's specific patented interior and exterior fittings.
